Fillings are provided by Dr. Tate. He will not place mercury fillings in your mouth. He uses a biological material containing porcelain and resin. Our teeth have five surfaces. A filling may be placed in the tooth if the decay has not spread widely into the third surface. These fillings are called composites. Composites are tooth colored restorations. Fillings work well for smaller restorations. They may wear and need replacing in five to ten years. |

Procedure:
Bonding restores teeth that are chipped, cracked, misaligned, or discolored. A plastic resin somewhat like putty is used to rebuild teeth and make them look natural. Visits: Usually only one visit is needed. Except when more complex work is needed. Durability: A bonded tooth can usually last three to five years before it needs to be touched up to correct wear and/or discoloration. |
